Assess Student Work in Seconds

Photograph, upload, and let the AI mark it

The Assess and Teach marking tool turns a single photograph of student work into structured, curriculum-aligned feedback in under thirty seconds. Snap a page from a literacy book, scan a maths worksheet, or upload a typed piece of writing — the AI handles handwriting recognition, picks out evidence against your selected learning objectives, and writes a teacher-style commentary you can paste straight into a book or report.

Behind the scenes, every assessment runs against the UK National Curriculum (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland frameworks supported), so the feedback always speaks the language of your planning, your moderation meetings, and your end-of-year reports.

Quick, detailed, baseline, and accumulative modes

Choose the assessment style that matches the task in front of you. Quick mode gives you a rapid strengths-and-targets summary perfect for daily marking. Detailed mode produces an objective-by-objective breakdown with example evidence pulled directly from the pupil's work. Baseline mode is built for September diagnostic writing — it suggests a working year group based on the evidence. Accumulative mode lets you upload up to fifteen pieces of work for an end-of-term holistic judgement.

Year 6 teachers in England can also switch on a dedicated Teacher Assessment Framework moderation mode for end-of-KS2 writing judgements.

Designed around the realities of classroom teaching

Every pupil you assess is automatically saved to your class list, with progress tracked across the year. You can group pupils by shared learning gaps, print A4 feedback slips three to a page, share read-only reports with parents, and reuse your own custom learning objectives for school-specific schemes of work. Filter selections, last-used pupils, and recent objectives are all remembered between sessions so you spend less time clicking and more time marking.
